We have an exact 50:50 male/female workforce, including our senior leadership team led by CEO, Dr. Anne Lane.

Generating positive social impact is at the heart of what we do, and a key factor in our decisions in taking forward research, inventions and ideas with UCL’s academics.

Of course, commercialisation is about creating successful businesses which bring great ideas to market. But those businesses are always rooted in bringing benefits to people – whether that’s medical technologies to improve detection in diseases, advanced therapies to treat cancers and neurological diseases.

We also create ‘social ventures’ – businesses established with the express aim of empowering communities to tackle the local challenges they experience, and addressing larger social issues in areas such as disability, sustainability and equitable access to personal finance.

We are a wholly-owned subsidiary company of UCL, acting independently and governed by a highly experienced, independent Board with members drawn from business, finance, venture-building and the university itself.

We’re proud to work with pioneers in UCL who are applying cutting edge technologies and research to accelerate the transition to net zero. By helping support those businesses to grow, refine and apply their technologies at scale, we are helping achieve much-needed impact here and now – as well as those technologies that will be essential for a fossil fuel-free energy future.
