Dr. Steven Schooling has left UCL Ventures
His move comes after 24 years working at UCL and since August 2006, at UCL Ventures.
Steven has played an important role in the development and growth of UCL Ventures, as the company has grown to become one of the UK’s leading university IP commercialisation companies.
Some of his key achievements have included:
- Enabling roles across creation, growth and exit of spinout companies such as Senceive and Endomag
- Development of the UCL Technology Funds
- Supporting creation of express-licensing platform (E-Lucid)
- Development of enterprise support initiatives such as the IO programme & Mentors@UCL Ventures
- Building UCL Ventures’s social venture support capability
- Development of a UCL Ventures Proof of Concept and Seed Fund
- Enabling growth in Physical Science & Engineering activity
Most recently, Steven has been leading a project to develop an investment vehicle and associated incubation initiative intended to support London university spinouts.
Steven is now keen to explore new challenges, and we thank him for his many years of service and wish him well for the future.
