Wellspring is an interactive information resource designed to improve communication and consent processes in women’s health. 

It provides patients with access to clear, accurate and up-to-date information about medical treatment, tailored to individual needs and allowing them to consider and consent for procedures in their own time.

Wellspring was established by a team of clinicians at University College London Hospital (UCLH), including Professor Sara Hillman at the UCL EGA Institute for Women’s Health.

The Wellspring journey so far:

  • 2020: Platform established by clinicians at UCLH
  • 2021: Wellspring is founded

Professor Sara Hillman

Founder and CEO

Professor Hillman is a consultant obstetrician and fetal medicine specialist at UCLH. She runs a research group investigating the mechanisms that drive pre-eclampsia and fetal growth restriction.
