Sola Diagnostics
Epigenetic tests for precision prevention of women's cancers.
Sola Diagnostics was founded by Professor Martin Widschwendter (UCL EGA Institute for Women’s Health and University of Innsbruck), in 2022 to develop epigenetic tests for precision prevention of women’s cancers.
To date, Sola have launched the WID®-easy test, a diagnostic test for womb cancer, which prevents unnecessary invasive diagnostic procedures.

Professor Martin Widschendter
Founder and Executive Chair
Professor Widschwendter’s research focuses on cancers of the breast, uterus, cervix, and ovaries, with his long-term goal being the elimination of women-specific cancers.
Dr Caitriona O'Rourke (Away from office)
Senior Business Manager
Dr O'Rourke has worked as a research associate on tissue engineering, drug delivery, regenerative medicine and stem cell biology. Her PhD looked at tissue engineering and her MSc in neuropharmacology.
