MeiraGTx
Clinical-stage gene therapy company with broad pipeline.
MeiraGTx (NASDAQ: MGTX) is a vertically integrated, clinical-stage gene therapy company, with six programmes in clinical development and a broad pipeline of earlier-stage assets.
The company combines expertise in viral vector design, optimisation and manufacturing with a proprietary gene regulation platform, enabling more precise and scalable therapeutic development. Its portfolio-led strategy brings together licensed, acquired and internally developed technologies, building depth across both modalities and indications.
MeiraGTx is initially focused on areas of high unmet need, including inherited retinal diseases, neurodegenerative conditions and severe xerostomia, with programmes targeting the eye, central nervous system and salivary gland. Over time, it aims to expand into additional indications, applying its platform to a wider range of serious diseases.

- 2015: the company was founded
- 2018: IPO on NASDAQ for $100 million
- 2022: $25 million investment from Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JJDC), the investment arm of J&J
- 2023: $30 million strategic investment from Sanofi
