Gold Standard Phantoms
Calibration services for quantitative medical imaging.
Gold Standard Phantoms was born from world-leading MRI research at University College London.
The spinout develops advanced imaging phantoms and calibration solutions that overcome one of the biggest challenges in medical imaging: ensuring consistent, reproducible measurements across different MRI scanners and hospitals.
Its flagship platform, METRION™, is the first solution to deliver real-time, metrologically traceable calibration inside every MRI scan, unlocking reliable diagnostics and enabling scalable use of AI in healthcare.
The Gold Standard journey so far:
- 2014: spinout founded at UCL
- 2017: received £804,000 private investment
- 2018: Innovate UK precision Medicine prize of £100,000
- 2023: €1.6 million grant from Horizon accelerator programme.
